Why hello Spring Semester...

Well, Spring Semester 2011 is officially in full swing. I have been to all my classes but one. Tomorrow I get to meet my professor for Technology for Teachers. I have to say that I am really excited about this semester and what it holds for me, or should I say, what God holds for me. My classes are as follows: Structures of Math (so we can teach our little kiddies how to figure out a problem.), History Since 1877 (University requirement.), Walking Fitness (also a University requirement.), Technology for Teachers (to learn how to use technology in the teaching world.), Fundamentals of Literature (I have no idea why.), and Earth Science (my professor is awesome.). I am super excited to finally be on my major classes and getting into them. I cannot wait to start student teaching, although I still like a couple of years.

If you're in college, how's your semester going so far?

Dun..dun..dun..

I am officially back in the "real world". School starts tomorrow for me at 10:00 AM. I am excited/nervous/overwhelmed. I have 6 classes this semester and I am taking 16 hours. No biggie. Although 10:00 AM isn't early at all, I am not excited about getting up at 8 or so. I don't see how I ever managed getting up at 7 when I was in high school.

Oh, and yes I was one of those who secretly hoped that classes would be cancelled tomorrow due to snow, but the snow here in Edmond didn't even really stick. Oh well.

I am about to hit the hay and get ready for tomorrow. For those of you who have classes tomorrow, good luck! May this semester be the best.

Cherish

Salvaged

Okay, so a very sweet lady at work approached me one day with a book. She said she had read it and thought if I like to read, that I should read it too. She said a lady from Edmond is the author of this book and the books setting in set in Oklahoma. So of course, I want to read it.

I bring the book home with me during break but put it to the side for a little bit. I had just got done with finals, the last thing I wanted to do was read. Well, my mom noticed the book and read the back and said she would like to read it. I told her to go ahead because I probably wouldn't start on it for another week or so. Well, within a few days my mom had read the book and kept telling me how good the book was. Therefore, I was intrigued. My mom knows a good book when she reads one.

So, I started reading this book on Tuesday night, the last week of Christmas break and let me tell you, so far I am on chapter 21/35 and I am absolutely in love with the book and it's characters.

The book is called Salvaged and it is written by Stefne Miller.

So far, it is one of the best books I have ever read. If you want to know more about the book or it author, go to stefnemiller.com.

What's your favorite book?

Nerd? Maybe.

Is it sad to say that I am ready for school to start back Monday? As much as I have loved being home for the past three weeks and enjoyed sitting on my bottom, I am ready to get back into the swing of things and start being kind of busy again. Plus, I really miss Wednesday night services at Memorial Road Church of Christ and all my friends that I go with, of course. And maybe I miss Edmond just a little bit.

Here are a few reasons why I am excited:
1) I get to see Kaila, Rae, Taryn, Mindi, Karrisa, Evan, Carson and Scott.
2) I get to have all classes with Jacqui, and some with Brittney.
3.) I'm ready to be busy.

Lame? Oh well..

Have a great weekend.

Cherish

2010 in Reviewww..

Yes, I know this is several days late, but I've been pretty sick. Give me a break. Here is my year in review with pictures.

In March of 2010, I was able to travel to Europe (Germany and France) for 10 days with a group from UCO, called the Global Learning Community. It was definitely the trip of a lifetime with so many memories made.

In July 0f 2010, it was 4th of July, of course. We did our traditional family celebration by celebrating at my Aunt and Uncles house and watching fireworks go off. In the first picture is my little cousin Nataliee and a family friend's daughter, Addie. The second picture are some of us girl cousins with our grandpa (Poppy Bro).

In September of 2010, my family and I traveled to a little town called Lumberton, TX. It was an 8 hour drive but still a lot of fun. We went to see our cousin and her family and stayed for 4 days. The above pictures are just a few pictures of my favorite place that we visited. The first picture is of my mom, me and our cousin Misty. The second picture is of my dad, brother, and cousins fishing off the pier at the Gulf of Mexico. The last picture is just a picture of the Gulf of Mexico in Galveston, TX.

In October of 2010, I went with my Aunt and Uncle to take my little "sister" trick or treating. Nataliee went as Shirley Temple. We later met up with her brother and got a few pictures of them two.

In November of 2010, a few of my closest friends celebrated my 20th birthday with me in good ole' Bricktown.

And as for December, I have already posted pictures of it on a previous blog and I don't have any saved on my computer. But there is my year in review. Kind of spaced out, but what a great year it was.
